SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, Glens, DC safety unit with sWitch and DC SPD

This version of the SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW comes with a DC safety unit. This unit has a switch to turn off supply from DC side. There is also a Surge Protection Device (SPD) and various connectivity options. Connection can be via RS485, Ethernet or Wi-Fi. A Wi-Fi connection does require a separate antenna. SetApp is also available for this inverter, making commissioning and monitoring quick and easy.
Communications
Two RS485 ports are integrated, as well as an Ethernet connection. Connecting wirelessly, via Wi-Fi, requires a separate antenna. Once this connection is established, commissioning can take place via the SetApp. Monitoring the PV system is also done via SetApp. This can be done at the module level.
Security
Arc protection and leakage current detection are both available as standard. Arc protection registers arcs in the system. In most cases, these are harmless. In the event an arc reaches dangerous proportions, the arc protection device will kick in and shut down the entire system. Leakage currents, like electric arcs, occur frequently. In many cases, these too can do no harm. When it reaches a certain strength and a person comes into contact with the system, the device will shut down within 20 to 40ms. The SPD provides protection against overvoltage from lightning strikes, for example.
Safety unit
The safety unit, to be attached to the bottom of the SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, comes with a DC switch. This allows the entire circuit to be de-energized. In fact, a bipolar disconnect ensures that both the neutral and phase wires are both interrupted.
Swivels
Instead of MC4 connectors, this type features glands. These screw glands are used to connect cables on the inside of an inverter, to a terminal block with screw connections.
