The SMA Sunny Tripower CORE2, also known by its model name STP 110-60, is a three-phase string inverter designed specifically for commercial and industrial solar projects. With an impressive output of 110 kW AC, this device is the big brother of the smaller variants for domestic use, such as the Sunny Tripower Smart Energy, and is particularly suitable for installations on commercial roofs or large ground-mounted systems in the megawatt range.
What makes the CORE2 so special is its flexibility. Thanks to twelve MPPT trackers and twenty-four connectable strings, it can effortlessly handle different module orientations and shading conditions. This makes it ideal for more complex installations where the modules do not all have the same position or tilt. As a result, the system can control a PV system of up to 165,000 Wp and offers enormous scalability.
