SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW, MC4, DC SPD, with SetApp configuration

This SolarEdge 3PH Inverter, 30kW variant is suitable for PV installations of 1000V. As standard, the DC side has four pairs of MC4 plugs and there is a Surge Protection Device (SPD) on the DC side. Two RS485 connections and one Ethernet connection are integrated. Connection to wifi is also possible, provided a separate antenna is purchased. Once connected, the SolarEdge SetApp can be used for commissioning and monitoring.
Communications
The inverter has two integrated RS485 ports and one connection for an Ethernet cable. Connection via Wi-Fi is also possible, but it requires a separate antenna. Once a connection is available, the inverter can be easily accessed using SetApp. Commissioning is possible in this way, as is continuous monitoring of the system. This can be done at the panel level, allowing the entire PV system to be monitored.
Security
The device features arc protection and leakage current detection. Arc protection is separately adjustable. This protection monitors arcs of flame that occur in the system. Once it takes dangerous forms, this protection device will break the circuit. Leakage currents are common but harmless in most cases. However, dangerous situations can arise when leakage currents reach a certain strength and a person comes into contact with the system. The detection senses this and then will turn off the device within 20 to 40ms. The SPD provides protection against overvoltage from lightning strikes, for example.
